Do You Believe in Miracles?
Have you ever experienced a miracle? Arthur Boyle, father of 13, is living proof they exist. Eileen McAvoy Boylen, author of “Six Months to Live, Three Guys on the Ultimate Quest for a Miracle,” shares the thrilling account of Mr. Boyle’s impossible healing from terminal Stage 4 renal cell carcinoma. This story was featured on Good Morning America, Nightline, and CBS News. She will talk about the miracles, large and small, that led her to write this book, including the intervention of the future saint she’s certain helped get this book published. Get ready to believe in miracles!

Eileen McAvoy Boylen is a high-energy, inspirational speaker, whose career took her from executive positions in the corporate world to freelance writing for The Boston Globe, The Boston Herald, and other publications. But it was her deep Catholic faith that drew her to places like Lourdes, France, and Knock, Ireland, and made her curious about Medjugorje, the popular pilgrimage site in the former Yugoslavia.

So when Artie Boyle (a well-known Boston dad of an NHL player) was miraculously healed during his pilgrimage to Medjugorje, he turned to Eileen to write his story.

Artie was a terminally-ill father of 13 children who journeyed to Medjugorje with two male friends in search of a miracle. He left Boston on Labor Day weekend 2000, his cancer having spread resulting in a large stage four tumor that had metastasized on his lung and when he returned 10 days later, the tumor had disappeared. To tell this story, Ms. Boylen made her own pilgrimage to the beautiful village of Medjugorje where she experienced its peace and spirituality, walked in Artie’s footsteps, and spoke with witnesses. “Six Months to Live”, a story of physical and spiritual healing, is based on her extensive interviews, as well as comprehensive research. And, his healing has stood the test of time. As Pope Francis considers approving Medjugorje as an official Marian shrine, Six Months to Live is especially relevant today.
