The God Box, A Journey of the Heart

Devastated after the sudden loss of her mother, author Mary Lou Quinlan made a startling discovery: private boxes of notes written by the very hand that had slipped away. These secret scribbled petitions tucked in her mother’s “God Box” compelled Mary Lou to face the greatest human challenge: learning to let go. She will share selections from her New York Times bestselling book "The God Box, Sharing my Mother’s Gift of Faith, Love and Letting Go". Mary Lou has shared this story on stages around the US and last fall in 9 cities in Ireland. The God Box Project, which includes the book, a free iTunes app, and a one-woman play that she performs, has raised nearly $400,000 for cancer, hospice, schools, and parishes.
Mary Lou Quinlan is a writer, actress, women’s expert, and speaker. She’s a proud graduate of Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia which awarded her an honorary doctoral degree, as did Chestnut Hill College, Rosemont, Alvernia and Creighton University.
