Wendy Chanampa has extensive experience – both personally and professionally – caring for people with dementia. Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease is a devastating diagnosis – for both the person with dementia as well as the family members who become their caretakers. With the frequency of the diagnosis increasing, any one of us may need to step into the role of caretaker of a parent, spouse, or other loved one. Wendy will help us prepare for and understand this role better by discussing the changes that take place in our loved ones, showing us how we can make a difference through acceptance and gratitude, teaching us how to take care of ourselves, and helping us recognize the unexpected gifts along the way.
Wendy Chanampa is a Professional Guardian and Certified Dementia Care Practitioner with expertise in senior care and dementia. She is a Certified PAC (Positive Approach to Care) Trainer through Teepa Snow and a NCCDP Certified Trainer. Passionate about dementia care, Wendy focuses on enhancing the quality of life for people living with dementia. With over 30 year's experience working with elders, Wendy has extensive experience working in skilled nursing facilities, dementia care facilities, home care and senior center management.

In 2008, she founded Senior Resource Consultants, Inc. Her practice includes Dementia Care Training and Education, Family Consulting, Court Appointed Guardianship and Care Management. Training with various senior providers through the years has enabled her to develop her natural ability in working with those afflicted. Her common sense approach, hands on training, and sincere love of her mission enhance her educational programs and personalized services.
